CCA FAME (Fine Arts & Music Enhancers) is the Booster Program which provides extra funding for the art, band, music, drama, and speech programs within the Clear Creek Amana Community School District. The annual fruit sale has been a main fundraiser for CCA FAME. for over twenty-two years and keeps these programs running by providing equipment not covered by the district budget.

How will CCA FAME handle selling, ordering, collecting payments and fruit pick up post COVID-19?

We promise to do everything we can to ensure all students, educators, administrators and staff stay as safe as possible during the Fruit Sale and Pick Up.  For those reasons, will we adhere to the following rules and guidelines.

  1. We prefer orders be taken online.  However, students CAN go door to door IF THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE AND THEIR PARENTS ARE IN AGREEMENT.  It IS NOT mandatory that students gather orders in person if they are not comfortable...we suggest calling friends, family and neighbors.  Direct them to our website to see what is for sale.  Encourage buyers to order online so that they can pay directly online.

  2. NO STUDENT, PARENT or GUARDIAN will be expected to go door to door or have any face to face interaction to take or place an order UNLESS THEY FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING SO.

  3. All transactions CAN take place online on our website, from the order form and method of order to the collection of money.

  4. Lastly, we are planning to use the same facility as last year for designated members (no students) to sort and prep fruit for pick up.  Everyone who orders will be instructed to either pull into a pick up lane or large order parking spot.  And finally, a member or adult will ask the driver to open the trunk or car door for us to place the order in their vehicle.  We expect that there should not be a need for any less than six-foot interaction.

  5. We will adhere to the CDC Guidelines for Food Service utilizing masks and gloves.

  6. We will use Mindful Contact Tracing so that if there is any issue, we can provide documentation of those workers on the Fruit Sale process.

Why sell fruit (and meat, cheese & nuts)?

The annual Fruit Sale is the largest fundraiser of the year for CCA FAME. For over twenty years students and parents involved in CCA Fine Arts programs have raised money by selling fruit, meat, cheeses and nuts to family and friends. This money is used to provide funds for equipment and supplies which are not covered by the district budget, but are necessary to maintain and grow quality fine arts programs. CCA continues to have great success in art, band, music, drama and speech programs, with ever larger numbers of students participating each year.
Your purchase of meats and cheeses help us to receive an additional discount off our purchase price!

What will the money raised be used for?

Any fine arts teacher may request additional budgeted funds for their program.  CCA FAME provides each school's fine arts program an allocation of $300 per year.  Additional funds will be used for a variety of needs throughout the  K thru 12 District.  We are preparing for more financial support but with the pandemic changing the landscape of student and public interaction fairly regularly, plans have needed to be flexible but CCA FAME will do all it can to rise to the needs of our Fine Arts Students in the District.

How do students submit orders?

Students need to finish up any orders by Thursday, November 4th.  PLEASE DIRECT CUSTOMERS TO VISIT OUR WEBSITE https://www.ccafame.org/cca-fruit-sale to place their credit card order.
